ISCST Preps for 11th Symposium

ST. PAUL, MN, USA—The International Society of Coating Science and Technology (ISCST) reports the 11th international coating science and technology symposium is slated for September 23–25, 2002, Minneapolis, MN, USA.

According to ISCST, the 2002 symposium will include contributions from experts from the Americas, Europe, and Asia and "is the premier symposium in the area of liquid film coating and related fundamentals and applications."

ISCST says the meeting provides a discussion forum for recent advances in understanding the process of deposition and solidification of thin liquid films and their applications. The 11th symposium is sponsored by the ISCST and is co-sponsored by: American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE); Association of Industrial Metallizers, Coaters and Laminators (AIMCAL); Industrial Partnership for Research in Interfacial and Materials Engineering (I PRIME) , and the University of Minnesota.

According to ISCST, companies offering products and services in coating technology are encouraged to participate as exhibitors at the symposium. "[The event], which is expected to attract between 300 to 400 engineers and scientists from the world's leading manufacturers of coated products and coating science academic programs, is an ideal opportunity for companies to reach individuals that [examine] new coating processes and products.
