CINCINNATI, OH | After Mario Cotta recently acquired UK-based Sigmala Technology, it announced it will now offer a new line of lower-cost, easy to use, all-electronic slitting and winding products. The new line will offer fully automatic alternative to traditional pneumatic systems.

The new products reportedly will combine the innovative systems of Sigmala Technology with the expertise of the global slitting specialists at Mario Cotta, part of the international Zincometal Group. Together, the two teams will combine engineering ingenuity to produce the new line of products. The company reports the entirely new line will debut in September, 2009, and will include servomotor-controlled knife holders, roll drive arms, automated transfer units, and powered unwind/rewind stands.
