Company Invests in Packaging, Printing, and Coating

DUBLIN, OH | The Ashland Performance Materials div. of Ashland Inc. announced its Specialty Polymers & Adhesives (SP&A) business group recently installed additional equipment valued at more than $2 million to enhance service and capabilities for its printing, packaging, and coatings product lines. Installed at the facilities located in Columbus, OH, and Oak Creek, WI, the equipment investment reportedly marks a significant commitment to support current and future business growth and continues the company’s expansion of its SP&A business.

Ashland reports it has been actively growing its SP&A business through acquisition and new product development. It has integrated its purchase of the former Northwest Coatings business and recently closed on its purchase of the pressure-sensitive adhesives and atmospheric-emulsions businesses from Air Products and Chemicals, Inc.
