Drupa Prize Awarded to Nadine Müller

DUSSELDORF, GERMANY | Dr. des. Nadine Müller was awarded the 35th drupa Prize on May 31 in Düsseldorf, Germany, for her dissertation “Self-promotion of artists from the Düsseldorf Art School and the Düsseldorf marketing system from 1826 – 1860.” Müller, a graduate from the Art History Inst. at Heinrich Heine Univ. in Düsseldorf, examined how artists of that period marketed their works. The prize was presented by Martin Weickenmeier, president of drupa 2012, and Werner M. Dornscheidt, chairman of Messe Düsseldorf.  Prof. Dr. H. Michel Pieper, chancellor of the Heinrich Heine Univ., Prof. Dr. Hans T. Siepe, Decan of the Philosophy Faculty and Prof. Dr. Hans Körner, Müller’s Ph.D. advisor, praised the dissertation with “summa cum laude.”
