AIMCAL Fall Technical Conference Offers 'Global Forum' For Web Coating

FORT MILL, SC | The Assn. of Industrial Metallizers, Caoters & Laminators' (AIMCAL) Fall Technical Conference, to be held October 19-22, 2008, at the Myrtle Beach Resort at Grande Dunes in Myrtle Beach, SC, offers a global technical forum for the web coating industry. The agenda will cover the full spectrum of web coating and vacuum web coating, with concurrent tracks allowing attendees to attend the sessions of most interest to them. The conference is open to any individual involved with web coating.

The keynote speaker will be Kenneth S. Marsh, Ph.D., president/research director of Kenneth S. Marsh & Assoc, Ltd., and executive director of the Woodstock Inst. for Science in Service to Humanity (WIS2H), who will address "Packaging and the Environment: Debunking The Myths.” Other sessions will include “Troubleshooting the Vacuum Coating Process--Tools and Techniques,” by Dr. Charles Bishop, C.A. Bishop Consulting Ltd.; and “Practical Defect Reduction Technology,” by Edward D. Cohen, Edward D. Cohen Consulting, Inc.

There are more than 30 speakers in five sessions over three days. Topics include Environmental Responsiveness, Coating, Measurement/Rheology, Substrate Technology and Treatment, and Advances in Web Coating Technology.
