Partnering in MDO

Cincinnati, OH | Eclipse Film Technologies produces MDO (machine direction orientation) polymer films using a range of substrates that include olefins, high-barrier webs, and more. The recent installation of an MDO unit at the 26,000-sq-ft facility is the result of a partnership with Windomoeller & Hoelscher Corp.

Reportedly, Eclipse chose W&H as a partner for manufacturing the MDO unit based heavily on W&H’s reputation in the industry for designing, manufacturing, and servicing innovative, high quality film production equipment.

The new capacity will allow Eclipse to produce films for the food and medical industries that offer cost savings benefits, as well as improved stiffness, strength, optics, and barrier properties. On the web.
