Drupa Answers Slitting Needs

Drupa, the quadrennial printing event held in Dusseldorf, Germany, moves ever closer to its much anticipated opening on May 29 continuing through June 11, 2008.

Ashe Converting Equipment will display the model Sapphire S2, a technologically advanced machine, says the company, for the processing of film, flexible packaging, laminates, etc., at speeds of up to 700 metres per minute. It incorporates shaftless female knife positioning that allows repositioning of spacers and knives for shear slitting without requiring shaft removal. Also featured, especially for the converters of high quality labels, will be the Opal2 label inspection slitter with die-cutting capabilities and an Opal configured for in-line turret operation. The Onyx slitter, described by the company as competitively priced, is considered ideal for start up companies. Visit Hall 12, Booth A25. Ashe's webiste.
