Bobst to Exhibit at IPEX

ROSELAND, NJ—Bobst Group will present a comprehensive range of technology and process solutions for the global converting industry at IPEX 2006 from April 4-11 at stand C 25 in Hall 1 at the NEC, Birmingham, UK. This will include the latest developments in flexo printing from Schiavi ; in gravure printing from Rotomec; in coating and laminating technology from both companies; in vacuum web coating and metallizing from General (UK) and in slitting, rewinding and handling solutions from Atlas and Titan (UK).

Titan will demonstrate the SR8 cantilever slitter/rewinder, its most successful machine to date, with a comprehensive list of both standard and optional features including differential rewinds, automatic knife & laser (line) core positioning, running at up to 700m/min. Details will also be available on the new, Titan CT610 automatic turret slitter/rewinder for high volume production with rapid finished reel changeovers, consistently in less than 20 seconds.

Rotomec will present the latest developments in gravure printing and coating technology, including the Rotomec RS 4003 MP multipurpose gravure press unveiled last November.

Schiavi's wide range of solutions in flexo printing features the new generation EF 40s series of electronic flexo presses, designed around the unique Universal Deck concept, including the new EF 5040 10 color flexo press. The range of Schiavi compact duplex and triplex solventless laminators and multipurpose solutions includes the CL 660 Unica coater-laminator, which enables the application of different technologies with the same machine, using dedicated trolleys and touch screen recall of the software program for automatic machine configuration.

General's vacuum web coating and metallizing solutions provide deposition of aluminium and clear barrier coatings for packaging, decorative and label applications. Other materials can be deposited for high technology, industrial and security coatings.
