Chinaplas 2006 Chooses Theme, Schedules Dates

SHANGHAI, CHINA—Chinaplas 2006 (The 20th Intl. Exhibition and Plastics and Rubber Industries) will be held April 26-29, 2006 at the Shanghai New Intl. Expo Center. The theme will be "Shaping the Future for You." The exhibition area will reach 92,000 sq.-m, with 1,300 exhibitors expected to attend. Ninety percent of space already has been confirmed, and the Adsale Exhibition Services, the show's organizers, expect this show to surpass the 2004 show by 50%.

Stanley Chu, chairman of Adsale, says, "Despite a series of challenges encountered at various stages such as economic crisis in 1998, 911 terrorist attack and SARS scare in 2003, Chinaplas strived to stand against crisis and expanded consistently. To consolidate our strength and overcome challenges, we built up strategic partnerships which further increase our resources in organizing a good fair for the industry. It is always our aim to assist exhibitors to achieve a higher degree of influence in China market."
