CCTI Fall Meeting to Feature VTS Workshop

PRESS RELEASE

ALEXANDRIA, VA—The Composite Can and Tube Institute (CCTI) will hold its 2005 Fall Meeting Sept. 27-29, 2005, at the Flamingo Las Vegas hotel. The 2005 Fall Meeting is all about operations and sales, from the “The Do’s and Don’ts of Product Knowledge,” to “Conquering Negotiaphobia.” CCTI invites all manufacturers of paperboard composite cans, tubes, cores and related items, as well as their suppliers, to attend. This meeting provides attendees with new ideas, current reports and information as well as an opportunity to network among industry colleagues and suppliers.

As a special bonus, 2005 Fall Meeting attendees also will have the opportunity to attend the CPP and PACK Expo shows free through their Fall Meeting registration. Visit CCTI in booth 3122.

The Vendor Technical Subcommittee (VTS), comprised of industry suppliers, has planned its first workshop for manufacturers of tubes, cores, and composite cans—"The Do's and Don’ts of Product Knowledge." The VTS is a CCTI resource for resolving in-plant production problems. Discussions at this first VTS Workshop will focus on basic product knowledge and the problems that occur in the plant regarding moisture in paperboard, adhesion, guarding devices, cutting and handling of cores, wax and lubricants, safety equipment, and belts.
