Yupo Seeks Wally Award Entrants

PRESS RELEASE

CHESAPEAKE, VA—Yupo Corp. America calls for entries for the third annual Wally Awards. The program is open to candidates in North and South America who submit a project created on YUPO paper over the last six years. The deadline for all entries is September 15, 2005. Winners each will receive a cash prize of $1,000, a customized Wally Award statue designed by illustrator Bill Mayer, and the Pantone Color Cue2.

Registration is free, and any project created on YUPO synthetic paper is eligible. Projects can include, but are not limited to: maps, marketing materials, point-of-purchase displays, signs, labels, menus, tags, brochures, etc. Projects previously submitted for past Wally Awards will not be considered. A complete description of rules and regulations for the Wally Awards is available at yupo.com. To enter, register at wallyaward.com and include a short description explaining why YUPO paper was chosen for the job. Send five samples to:

Three winners will be announced in November/December 2005 based on functionality, originality, and creativity. Runners-up will be entered into the Designer's Choice category and a winner chosen via on-line voting in March 2006.

Yupo also announces that White Squirrel Inc.'s, Portland, OR, FishFlips snorkeling guides have been voted the 2004 Designer's Choice Winner of the Wally Awards. The FishFlips books are 40 double sided 2 x 3 in. cards, bound with two cable ties to a coil strap that can be worn around the wrist. They are used by snorkelers under water and show 80 full-color photos with the species name printed under each picture printed on 100 lb. Yupo cover stock.
