Energy Fix Anyone? WPC Signs on as Introspect 2001 Sponsor

SAN FRANCISCO, CA, USA—The Wisconsin Paper Council (WPC) has signed on as offical sponsor of Introspect 2001. "The only event in the paper industry dedicated to energy issues," says show organizer Pulp & Paper Events (a div. of Paperloop), the event is slated for September 30–October 2, 2001 in Minneapolis. Show sponsors say the event will bring together a broad mix of professionals, including North American paper-industry executives, power supplier and management companies, and regulators.

The conference program will focus on key, practical topics as they relate to current energy concerns, such as deregulation, competition, energy alternatives, co-generation, the utility companies' role in the crisis, the regional power outlook, and more.

As an Introspect sponsor, reports Pulp & Paper Events, the WPC will provide guidance regarding the conference program, help recruit speakers, and may hold an association function during the event. "Because Wisconsin is the leading paper-making region in the US," says the show organizer, "[we] are confident the WPC will contribute a great deal of valuable expertise and content to [the event]."

Introspect 2001 will be held at the Hyatt Regency in Minneapolis, MN, USA. Complete information on all Introspect 2001 sessions and participants is available at paperevents.com/introspect.
