Ampacet Opens Facility in Australia

TARRYTOWN, NY | Ampacet Corporation announces the opening of a new masterbatch production facility in Dandenong, Australia. The plant produces custom colors and additives used to add color, texture, metallic looks, paper effects, and functionality to flexible packaging and other products used in the food, shipping, industrial, and retail industries.

“We are delighted to be in Victoria, in Australia’s manufacturing hub,” says Yves Carette, Ampacet president and CEO. “We have long had a significant presence in Australia and New Zealand. Our new Dandenong facility enables us to better serve our customers’ needs.” “Ampacet Australia joins an ever-growing list of manufacturers choosing to base their operations in Dandenong—one of the nation’s largest manufacturing precincts,” says Wade Noonan, Victoria’s State Minister for Industry and Employment. “We are excited to watch this company grow and take its products to the world.”

Called a state-of-the-art facility, it will produce custom color masterbatches and house a new laboratory for product development and quality assurance. Processing equipment includes two twin-screw extruders equipped with the latest control systems and semi-automatic bagging systems.
