Flint Ink System Called Easy to Use

PLYMOUTH, MN | Flint Group has launched Hydrokett ZEN, a new generation of water-based ink technology for narrow web label and packaging applications.

Company says the product is designed with ease of use in mind and was developed using the concepts and ideals of innovation and continuous improvement called Kaizen. Said to provide provide “peace of mind and low stress” in the pressroom, inks are reported to provide the following benefits:

• Nearly Zero maintenance

• An ink that is Easy to use

• A product that works for Numerous applications

Mike Buystedt, VP Sales Narrow Web North America, says, “Our beta test customers have been extremely pleased with the results of Hydrokett ZEN. Originally designed for paper applications, we quickly realized that these inks were also well suited for film—customers running on both materials have been able to reduce their ink inventories.”

He adds, “The versatility and user-friendly nature of these products has these inks already labeled as a favorite among those running the press. And the benefits with lowered waste, ease of use, and its ability to be used on multiple substrates offer an economic bonus.”

Said to offer excellent press stability, higher printing speeds, and adhesion to many substrates, inks are available in a four-color process set and the full Pantone color range. They can be provided in a finished ink system, or in a blend vehicle and color concentrates for dispensing.
