PRIMIR Issues Agenda for Summer Meeting

 

RESTON, VA | PRIMIR, the Print Industries Market Information and Research Organization, the research unit of NPES, reports its a Summer Meeting will be held June 16–18, 2015, at the Hyatt Place Downtown in Nashville, TN.

Themed "Pathways to Success–Growth Markets, Technologies & Applications," the meeting will be packed with data and content from two new PRIMIR studies. U.S. Market Trends for Flexographic Printing will be addressed by John Sherwin, project manager, and Joseph Gabriel, senior demand analyst, of Freedonia Custom Research. Each will share his current perspective on the evolving US flexography marketplace, including market sizing and forecast data through 2020, market and process trends, technological innovations, life cycle costs, evaluation of market forces and requirements at the packaging (CPC) buyer level, sustainability, and more.

Another timely new PRIMIR study presentation, Wide Format Inkjet Printing Trends & Opportunities, will feature findings from IDC by Tim Greene, research director–Hardcopy Solutions. This comprehensive research, focused on the US market, will define the current landscape, including historical data 2010–2014, with trends and forecasts through 2018. Major technology segments of aqueous, solvent, and latex inkjet, UV (flat bed and roll-to-roll) and dye-based will be defined, including market size dollar volume, technology breakout, installed machine base, ink consumption, key verticals, and potential displacement from digital/electronic signage. Additional profiling of typical and new wide-format print providers will reveal drivers, barriers, and perceptions regarding equipment, substrates, inks, workflow, and software needs.

The program also includes a panel discussion on "Global Food Packaging Compliance," a printer "Speak Out" session, and a local printing establishment tour.
