Brandtjen & Kluge Reports Alliance with Eagle Systems

ST. CROIX FALLS, WI | Brandtjen & Kluge reports a strategic alliance with Eagle Systems, Ocean, NJ, to jointly market Eagle Systems’ equipment solutions to the printing and packaging industries.

Under the terms of the agreement, Kluge will actively promote the Eco-Eagle Cold Foil and Cast and Cure systems. The systems are a value-added finishing solution for cold foil applications. The add-on system can be retrofitted to new or existing sheet-fed offset presses from most major press manufacturers and is said to offer users the flexibility to apply a single full press width of foil or multiple widths of foil, in any combination, as narrow as 2 in. This ability reportedly reduces foil cost and consumption. The cold foil system operates on about the same amount of electricity as a 1,500-watt hair dryer, reducing energy demands in production environments.

Spot or overall foil coverage is printed inline and then overprinted at standard press speeds. The process uses standard printing plates and features set-up times of less than 10 minutes and is completely automated, company says.

"Kluge and Eagle are pioneers in delivering world-class equipment solutions for the application of foil in the printing and packaging industries," says Michael Aumann, CEO, at Brandtjen and Kluge. "Eagle Systems has defined the cold foil market with their Eco-Eagle Cold Foil technology. We are thrilled to enter into this alliance and help our customers experience the benefits of Eagle Systems technology."
