Sun Chemical Offers Water-Based Flexo Dispenser Program

PARSIPPANY, NJ | Sun Chemical has introduced the new water-based flexo dispenser program for narrow web tag and label printers.

Program is said to allow users to decrease their overall bottom-line operating expenses in ink volume and ink costs by up to 25% by mixing exactly the amount of water-based flexo inks needed, reducing their inventory and waste, improving color-matching consistency, and significantly decrease total operating costs.

Company says the dispenser can make process, blending bases, and spot colors all from the same machine. Color concentrates and technology extenders can be dispensed to make inks for more than one application, providing printers the flexibility to control color density and compensate for various anilox configurations.

In addition, says Brian Breidigan, VP, Product Manager Commercial, North American Inks, Sun Chemical, “The dispenser brings a small footprint to the pressroom, and customers can participate in the program at no risk or additional cost for upkeep.”

Narrow web printers that participate in the program will receive a dispensing unit along with color repeatability and accuracy with 0.5 gram accuracy of all process, spot, and blending base colors. The dispensing unit is provided to the printer at no cost through a minimum annual purchase of Sun Chemical products.
