Canadian Partners Graphic Support Carries Purup-Eskofot Products

MISSISSAUGA, ON, CANADA—Partners Graphic Support (PGS) recently announced a distribution agreement for all Purup-Eskofot prepress products, reports the Canadian graphics arts industry supplier. According to the co., the agreement offers Partners Graphic Support an extremely wide range of computer-to-plate (CTP), imagesetting, scanning, and workflow solutions for the Canadian market.

During Print 01 in September, Purup-Eskofot's parent company, Kirkbi A/S, announced a merger with Barco N.V., the parent co. of Barco Graphics. Co. officials say Barco N.V. will own 49% of the new company (project name: BPE), and Kirkbi A/S will own 51%.

PGS reports BPE will combine the management, R&D, mfg. facilities, and distribution resources of the previous companies, and the product lines will be merged into one integrated portfolio. "This will give BPE the broadest line of computer-to-plate products of any organization in the world and market leadership in a number of graphic arts and packaging business areas," states PGS.
