Ampac Announces Addition of Two Machine Capabilities

CINCINNATI, OH | Ampac announces the addition of a Mamata VegaPlus 1000 bag/pouch machine and a Nordmeccanica Duplex Combi Horizontal laminator. These new assets augment Ampac’s capabilities to better serve existing and new customers’ needs for value added laminations, bags, and pouches.

Mamata VegaPlus 1000Supplementing Ampac’s current coextruded bag/pouch and string zipper competencies, the Mamata VegaPlus 1000 pouch making machine is an excellent enhancement to Ampac Seattle’s pouching capabilities as customers will now have the ability to specify flange zippers and add pouch style capabilities to traditional side weld bags. It also brings Ampac new competencies in twin seals and bottom sealed handle bags with the ability to punch gussets for stand up pouch gusset tacking.

Nordmeccanica Duplex Combi Horizontal LaminatorSupporting the additional Mamata pouch making machine, as well as the recently installed Hudson Sharp Inno-Lok and Pour and Lok equipment, is the Nordemeccanica Duplex Combi Horizontal laminator. This new wide-web lamination capability will enable the Ampac Seattle facility to coextrude, print, laminate, and provide premade pouches and /or pre-zippered roll stock to its growing customer base from one fully integrated Ampac location.

Ampac’s Marketing Director Dave Bartish states, “The addition of these machine capabilities elevates Ampac’s position with our customers, providing additional offerings to accommodate their needs. It supplements an already strong menu of machine expertise for Ampac and it’s exciting to offer more to our customers.”
