National Adhesives to Increase Pressure-Sensitive Adhesive Prices Mid-May 2004

BRIDGEWATER, NJ, USA—National Adhesives reports it will increase the price of all its pressure-sensitive adhesives 5 to 7 percent, effective May 17, 2004. The manufacturer's adhesive product line is composed of hot melt, waterborne, solution rubber, and solution acrylic adhesives.

"The price increases are necessary to offset rising raw material and energy costs," says National Adhesives. The company adds other adhesives it manufactures also are affected by these increases in raw material/energy costs; announcements regarding price increases for these products "will be made soon," note company officials.
