Overlaminates Resist Abrasions

JETbond abrasion-resistant overlaminates are designed to enhance both the durability and esthetics of digitally printed graphics, says co. These 4-mil overlaminating vinyls, available with a gloss, matte, or luster finish, are said to protect images from fading and increase the life of the graphic. A UV absorbing/resistant high-performance permanent acrylic adhesive provides added protection and is ideal for e-stat and ink jet printed graphics. Films are backed with a 42#, one-side-polycoated white kraft liner said to offer good economy and enhanced adhesive clarity.

The I-4406 and I-4604 4-in. label bar code printers offer full capability in printing high-resolution labels. They can print at 406- and 600-dpi resolution in a maximum 4.1-in.-wide image on a maximum media width of 4.65 in. Available as direct thermal or thermal transfer and are said to be durable and reliable for harsh industrial environments.

An RSS (Reduced Space Symbology) and Composite bar code verification system has been developed for the TruCheck Bar Code Verifier product line. The new capability includes the ability to verify the full family of RSS bar codes, including linear, stacked and composite symbologies. RSS is a new bar code developed by the Uniform Code Council for applications that require more information in a smaller space than allowed with existing symbologies like UPC or Code 128 bar codes.
