DÜSSELDORF, GERMANY

SMS has sold off the last remaining company in the plastics technology sector, Battenfeld Gloucester Engineering (BGE),Gloucester, MA. The buyer is a US Management Buyout Group led by investor group Mousam Ventures.

John Sharood, chairman of what now will be called Gloucester Engineering, and vice chairman Dick Murphy joined with eight senior managers, including BGE president and CEO Carl Johnson, to purchase the company.
