PENSACOLA, FL

International Paper (IP) has started production of high-performance, lightweight linerboard at its Pensacola, FL, mill. IP says the project allows it to produce linerboard grades with greater strength characteristics economically, while using less wood fiber. Sourced with 100% virgin wood fiber, the linerboard is fully recyclable and recoverable and reportedly allows customers to reduce their overall volume of packaging.
