The Email Feature We Love

Email tracking is the feature we find the most useful. Knowing if a customer opened an email right away. Getting notifications two weeks later that an email was re-open 2 twice in one day. Which is a great indicator to make a quick follow up call. If someone other than your contact opens the email, you get a notifications as well. Though it does not provide a name or email address. It is still very useful to know that they forwarded your email. Again, another great signal that now is a good time for a follow up call or email.

One of the first companies to offer this type of email tracking. We used it during the free beta testing phase. They have a plug-in for Outlook and a mobile client for iOS/iPhone, but no Android app. Sorry Android users .

They offer standard features for these types of vendors. Reminders (lets you mark a specific email for follow up) , send later, scheduling and calendar integration.

The free plan ended after beta testing. Plan it starts at $15 a month on a month-to-month plan, if you pay annually it’s $12 per user per month. They also have team and enterprise plans.

Another service we got to test during their free beta testing phase. It stacks up pretty well against Yesware. They offer a plug-in for Outlook and mobile apps. They have the usual features of email tracking, reminders, templates and scheduling.

What sets them apart – Free!

Mixmax has apps for iPhone and Android. Another big plus….they still have a free plan. The free plan lets you track 100 emails per month , schedule 10 and a small selection of templates. You even 5 sequences, which are basic automation. Paid plans for Mixmax start at $9/user per month if paid annually.

We came across it while researching this post and included them because they offer a free plan. With some great features. Their free plan has unlimited tracking and you can use up to five addresses per company. Which adds up to 5 FREE users. Plus their paid version is only four dollars a month. For that you get daily reports and link tracking. The link tracking sends notifications when someone clicks a link in your email. Yesware and Mixmax offer it but it costs more.

No mobile or desktop client and currently only works with Gmail or Google Inbox. Instead of apps or desktop, they have a plugin for Chrome.

Polymail.io – Honorable mention for the Mac Users

Polymail is another product we tested during beta and still use today. We love it because desktop and mobile client, no Outlook needed. Plus they have a free plan that gives you the tracking, calendar, snooze and reminders. Downside is that currently Polymail only works on Mac and iPhone. But since we ditched Windows soon after Outlook, it works out for us.

Get Social

A cool feature that they have, which the others do not, is Contact Profiles. Polymail pulls in LinkedIn , Facebook and Twitter information for your contacts. Paid plans start at $9/user per month.
