Green Bay Packaging Expands

GREEN BAY, WI | Green Bay Packaging reports the purchase of a new 269,000-sq-ft facility in Lebanon, OH, to replace its existing location in Cincinnati, OH. Ongoing sales growth has dictated the need for an improved and expanded manufacturing facility.

According to executive VP Bryan Hollenbach, the company plans to begin moving the office in January, with the balance of the manufacturing equipment over the first quarter of 2013. The new location, which will be “lean manufacturing” oriented, will include offices, manufacturing, a design center, and warehousing space. Currently, the division employs 91 plant and office employees.

Adds Wayne Petersen, VP, general manager, “The new plant will manufacture corrugated shipping containers in a variety of sizes and will serve businesses in the southern two-thirds of Ohio, southern Indiana, and northern Kentucky. Further, it reflects Green Bay Packaging’s continued growth, expansion, and its commitment to the packaging industry.”
