- February 23, 2004, PRESS RELEASE
HERTFORDSHIRE, UK—Futec reports it will be showing "the latest 100-percent automatic defect detection systems...for the first time" at Drupa in hall 15, stand BO4.
Among the products Futec will be showing:
- The EasyMax for Printed Web Inspection
: "The EasyMax enables the printer and converter to enhance competitive advantage by improving quality output, while simultaneously reducing production costs such as those associated with material waste and customer returns. The EasyMax also enables web-based processing machines to operate to their full potential with faster error-free throughput." Futec adds, "One of the strengths of the new detection system is it provides the capability for the operator to set specific tolerances."
- KaleidoEye Inine Color Check System
: Futec says it's developed an inline color-check system for the EasyMax. "This compares color on a new print job run with a previous or master job and is called ‘KaleidoEye,'" says the manufacturer. "This innovative new facility enables the printer to see color variations in either the deltaE or lab mode."
- MaxEye for Unprinted Inspection Applications
: Coaters, laminators, producers of film and foil—even paper manufacturing lines—and non-woven producers can also benefit from Futec inspection. The MaxEye detects spots, voids, wrinkles, pinholes, die lines, scratches, and a host of other optically detectable defects.
Futec also says an agreement with Windmöller & Hölscher enables German printers and converters to view a Futec 100% automatic inspection system operating in real-world conditions. An industrial strength EasyMax MC 4-camera color line-scan system has been installed at W&H headquarters in Lengerich (Germany) for demonstration purposes.
