Dyna-Tech Offers Biodegradable Adhesive

GRAFTON, WV | Dyna-Tech Adhesive has introduced DyTac 9577, a biodegradable and compostable water-based, pressure-sensitive adhesive.

DyTac 9577 is a rubber-resin emulsion, formulated as a permanent adhesive based on components reported to meet the requirements of DIN CERTCO and BPI for biodegradability and compostability. The adhesive’s primary components are all naturally occurring materials and are 98% bio-based content, based on Radiocarbon Analysis (as defined by Iowa State University).

The resin components of the adhesive meet ASTM D6400/6868 for compostability, and all other components are certified to be biodegradable by the suppliers. Product has a minimum application temperature of +20 deg F, a service temperature range of –20 deg F to 250 deg F, and meets federal regulations for indirect food contact, 21CFR175.105.

Dyna-Tech will display its products at Labelexpo Americas 2014, September 9–11, at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, IL
