PRESS RELEASE

LECCO, ITALY—On three printing demos a day, complete job change (printing and die-cutting) and format change on each of the two presented machines—Varyflex and the new Flexy-S with servomotors—OMET made a big impression at Labelexpo Europe 2005.

Flexy-S, the new narrow-web printing machines with two brushless servomotors for each printing unit, was equipped with the die-cutting unit “Twin-Cut” that allows production of self-adhesive labels in all the printing formats without changing the magnetic cylinders. With six flexo units, an OMET silk-screen unit, and a cold foil (cold gold) unit, the machine prints on both transparent adhesive polypropylene and on self-adhesive paper. Job changeover took six min.

Varyflex changed over from a printed subject on thin plastic film to a different printed and die-cut subject on carton in 10 min., with a minimum material waste and no change in the machine adjustment. Varyflex remained also impressed on all the visitors’ minds for its register stability, high speedy of production and the quality of the finished product.
