Universal Laser Systems Awarded Patent

PRESS RELEASE

SCOTTSDALE, AZ—Universal Laser Systems has been awarded a U.S. Design patent for its VersaLaser laser cutting and engraving system. The patent was awarded for the unique industrial design aesthetic of VersaLaser’s external cabinet, which also serves as a Class 1 laser safety enclosure.

VersaLaser is a desktop-sized, computer-controlled PC peripheral that employs a CO2 laser for cutting, engraving, and marking operations. It can process a variety of materials, including wood, paper, plastic, metal, leather, fabric, marble, rubber, glass, ceramic, and stone. VersaLaser functions like a desktop printer from Windows-based graphic software and was a finalist in PC Magazine’s Award for Technical Excellence.
