Exhibitors Assess CMM 2005

PRESS RELEASE

CHICAGO, IL—Many exhibitors at CMM 2005 reported quality leads and marketing opportunities throughout the show. A few exhibiting attendees sound off with their impressions of CMM 2005:

"The show may be smaller in terms of exhibitors, but the quality of the leads is higher and more probably will turn into sales."
—Seamus Lafferty, president, Stanford Products, LLC

"We are quite pleased with the show. We have sold two laminating machines so far—one within 30 min. of the show opening on Monday. Of the several good leads we have received so far, half are from outside the flexo market and from industries that we didn’t expect at the show. We exhibit at the large European shows but they don’t attract the North American converters that we see at CMM."
—Giancarlo Caimmi, commercial director, Nordmeccanica Group

"This has been an awesome show for us. So far, we have generated 150 solid leads regarding our new products. This has been our best CMM show to date."
—Scott Paulan, sales manager, Componex

"It’s better than last time. We’ve seen more quality people through the door… People at the decision-making level of management. The right people—people looking to purchase."
—Guy Carrington, U.S. sales manager, Ashe Converting Equipment

"We already have three times the number of leads we had at CMM 2003."
—Mark Breen, marketing manager, Dover Flexo Electronics

"We have had an excellent response to the machinery we’ve brought to the show. We’ve closed two deals on the show floor today. Exhibiting our new products at this show helps us reach 80% of our target market."
—Hector Marchand, VP of marketing, NDC Infrared Engineering

Early registration reportedly is going strong for CMM 2007 in Rosemont, IL. Several of the larger exhibitors already have reserved space, including Uteco, Fischer & Krecke, Cerutti, W&H, Polytype, Kroenert, Battenfeld Gloucester, PCMC, Maxcess, Douglas-Hanson, and Stanford Products.
