Liner Recycling Program

GREER, SC | The Mitsubishi Reprocess Liner Recovery Program offers a new solution to handling spent liner. Utilizing technologies developed over the last three years, a proprietary process is being implemented to allow the production of first quality release liners containg significant recycled content. The liner performance has been verified in value chain field tests, the company reports.

Polyester liners is said to already offer sustainability advantages as compared to paper liners. This technology is said to significantly increase that advantage. An independent Life Cycle Assessment found that this process when used to create recycled PET pellets will decrease the energy demand by 91% and the global warming potential by 74% as compared to virgin pellet production.

Mitsubishi has developed the technology and now is working with end users to return the spent liner back to its plant in Greer, SC. The collection system is currently under development. If your company would like to discuss whether it meets the criteria to participate in the program, call 888 M-REPROCESS.
