Excel Container Upgrades their Solarsoft Business System

LOMBARD, IL | Solarsoft Business Systems, a leading developer of software for the paperboard packaging industry worldwide, announces that Excel Container Inc. of Aurora, IL, has upgraded their business software system to the latest version of Solarsoft’s business software for corrugated manufacturers, HRMS Gen/2. Excel Container, an independent corrugator, has been servicing companies since 1989 and specializes in the design and manufacture of temporary POP displays, in-store signage, standees, and corrugated packaging. Excel offers their customers rapid turn-around times, and manufactures a wide variety of corrugated boxes and displays.
Solarsoft’s HRMS Gen/2 software includes a more versatile Purchase Order module, streamlined Order Entry and enhanced functionality for the estimating of assembled and unassembled sets, the company reports. Building further on the functionality of the proven software, Gen/2 utilizes a role-based user home page and enables data to be exported into Microsoft Office applications through comprehensive data extraction tools built into the software. The Gen/2 PowerSearch tool allows users to create their own queries against any data in the system, and minimizes the time needed to process daily work by allowing instant access to important information without the interruption of the current task performed.
“Upgrading to Gen/2 has provided us with a variety of significant benefits including quicker and better access to data within the system and the ability to write and generate useful reports. We are generally very pleased with the upgrade,” comments Shane Mikula, CFO at Excel Container.
