AVT/GMI to Present Latest Solution at Ipex

HOD HASHARON, ISRAEL | A new generation of automated closed-loop color control and remote ink control will be demonstrated on the AVT/GMI stand at Ipex, being held May 18-25 Birmingham, UK .

On display for the first time in the UK will be the ColorQuick/Clarios and Microcolor/Mercury solutions. Built on the outstanding success of the GMI ColorQuick closed-loop color solution, the GMI ColorQuick/Clarios takes this proved platform a dramatic step forward, says the company, offering a new, ergonomic operating experience while delivering the ultimate in productivity and color accuracy using an in-line spectrophotometer.

The GMI Microcolor/Mercury remote ink control reportedly updates the proven accuracy of GMI’s patented digital servomotors with a graphical, fully touch-screen workstation. Flexible new product architecture enables advanced automatic ink settings and control on virtually any model of litho or letterpress machine. For existing uses of GMI Microcolor, upgrading to Microcolor/Mercury is an easy and economic “plug and play” process because Microcolor/Mercury can work with existing GMI ink keys, fountains and GMI digital servomotors, the company reports.

Gal Shamri, GMI President, says, “The new generation ColorQuick/Clarios and Microcolor/Mercury products are being introduced as part of our long-term vision and commitment to providing our customers with process control and automation solutions that drive production excellence. These new products are a direct response to the continuing pressroom challenges that printers face. Today’s print market insists on shorter turn-around times, better color matching, and a more varied mix of products and formats. These new color control products form the foundation for optimum web press printing.”
