Beyer Graphics adds Expertfold

CIMMACK, NY | Beyer Graphics, a Long Island, NY folding carton converter recently upgraded its capabilities with the addition of a Bobst Expertfold 110-A2 CS folder-gluer. Specializing in pharmaceutical and consumer goods packaging, Beyer Graphics approaches its fourth decade after starting out as a local commercial printer in the early eighties. Dan Beyer reports that the Expertfold is the company’s fourth Bobst folder-gluer.
According to Beyer, “We’re fortunate enough to have grown our business over the past year, so to better meet the demand and serve our clients we needed the increased capacity.”
In addition to increasing production throughput, running product at speeds up to 1,476 ft/minute, the Expertfold is said to bring additional versatility to Beyer's finishing department. The “A2” configuration of the new folder-gluer gives Beyer the capability to fold over 3,000 different box styles including a wide range of straight line, crash-lock and others. The ability to fold materials ranging from carton board (up to 164 lbs/msf) and N, F and E micro-flute corrugated board allows Beyer to offer their customers an expansive range of manufacturing solutions.
