Training Trainers in Flexo
- Published: June 01, 2008
CHARLOTTE, NC
The Harper National Flexographic Center, located on the Harper Campus of Central Piedmont Community College (CPCC), recently hosted a FlexSys Print Simulator “train the trainer” session for area flexography education programs that have FlexSys Simulator systems in-house.
The Simulator works as a virtual printing press, replicating press conditions and problems created by an instructor for a student “press operator” to correct. Dr. John Anderson of the Foundation for the Flexographic Technical Assn. conducted the training.
Says Stephen Gerhardt, Harper National Flexographic Center's coordinator at CPCC, “John's training will enable us to expand our use of the press simulator in the lab, so we can add even more value to our existing curricula for conventional students, as well as our industry training programs.”
